I also learned a lot from it. I recommend everyone to find some time to read some of the articles. You are also welcome to send me a private message on Slack or discuss it in the public channel!

Search results display product "price reduction" information
This search result currently only appears in English search results in the United States.price reduction information is automatically generated by Google based on past price records of product structured data.. In addition, to have such a result, Schema MarkupOffertaggedpriceThe attribute must be a fixed amount rather than a price range.
Past e-newsletteronce introduced that Google has begun to support more product-related Schema tags (ex: shipping details), and now even tracks past prices, so that general search results can also help users like Google Shopping.Compare Prices。

[Tip] Automate Screaming Frog and integrate it into Google Data Studio
This article explains how to use the Scheduling function of Screaming Frog.uses a fixed cycle to let the crawler crawl the website, output the results to Google Sheets, and then use Google Data Studio for visual presentation。

I think the whole method is quite creative. Coupled with Screaming Frog’s own flexibility in setting, it can be a low-cost + highly customized SEO tool. I should find time to play with it later. If any readers have tested it, please feel free to contact me on Slack!

Chrome v88 several updates
This Chrome 88 update has several pretty good highlights;
1.) Blocks HTTP resources on HTTPS pages— This is especially important for websites whose images are placed through CDN or in subdomains. It is very common to see that only the main website is equipped with HTTPS, but the security certificates of other sub-resources are forgotten, causing Mixed Content problems.

2.) Less annoying permission requests— Too many websites now abuse the notification function. They always want to know your location information or want to send push notifications. This update is my favorite! To turn on this feature, go to this URL to turn it on:chrome://flags/#permission-chip

3.) Paging search function- The ability to search the content on all tabs at once, which is very helpful for people who tend to accidentally open more tabs at work. To enable this feature, go to this URL to open it:chrome://flags/#enable-tab-search

4.) Developer tools add web experience indicators— one more in developer toolsWeb page experience indicatoroption, with screenshots, you can clearly see which part of the loading process is judged to be FCP, LCP, or has a location movement, which is quite practical.

The article is quite long and may be difficult to read if you don’t have a development background, but it will be very helpful for communicating with engineers and I recommend it to everyone.

GA4 - Cohort Analysis Introduction & Demo Account Opening
Cohort Analysis in GA4, in addition to the originalstandard (standard), now two new calculation methods are added -cumulative (rolling)、cumulative (cumulative). Cohort analysis is a very important analytical method that can help analysts seeDoes a user who has completed a specific event/behavior have a significant impact on a certain indicator of the website?, if you are not familiar with this concept, I highly recommend you to read this article in Max Marketing Journal.
In addition, GA4 has also opened a Demo account for everyone to play.
Website front-end performance optimization 2021 Checklist
is also an article from Smashing Magazine,This front-end-focused website performance checklist lists 77 points. But it’s not just a list, the article has a fairly complete text introduction paired with pictures., if printed, it will exceed 180 pages. I haven’t finished reading it yet, but I have learned a few more tricks from it, and I recommend it to everyone!

SEJ eSummit 2021 Presentation Compilation (16 copies in total)
This isOnline seminar hosted by Search Engine Journal in early January, parts of the video cannot be shared publicly, butHelp you organize the parts of the presentation inthis folder(16 copies in total). Three of the speeches I recommend are:
- [Bastian Grimm] Deep-Diving Into Google’s Core Web Vitals
- [Jackie Chu] Scaling SEO for the Enterprise
- [Jenn Mathews] Where Does SEO Fit?
The last two focus on the positioning of SEO in the company. As an inhouse SEO, I was quite impressed after reading them.
Official Podcast - Search Off the Road EP.12
This episode of the Podcast features Cherry Prommawin, a member of the Google Search Quality Team responsible for Asia and the host of last year’s TaiwanGoogle Search Basics Seminar, the person who helped answer questions. The first point of this episode is,Cherry mentioned that one of the problems Google encounters in Southeast Asia is that in some languages or specific fields, they do not have enough content to pass back and forth to users. After all, there are many languages (or scripts) in the world that are spoken by relatively few people., so part of her job is to encourage people to create content.
Gary added. There is an "Index Selection" process in the indexing stage. They will not spend less resources indexing just because there are few users of a certain language., and in fact, Google has an internal mechanism to ensure that this will not happen.
Another interesting point is,Gary mentioned that Google’s index is actually hierarchical.. Because the online world is very large, Google's indexing system also requires a considerable amount of space to store, but the vast majority of web pages may not be updated after they are published, and they are not usually searched. Therefore, this type of "files" will be placed in low-cost but slow storage space, such as SSD (Solid State Drive); in contrast, news-type web pages may appear in search results several times per second, and these types of files will be placed in high-storage cost but fast space, such as RAM (Random Access Memory).
